We’re on a mission to create chances. Our philosophy revolves around creating those one-of-a-kind possibilities for local farmers to share their craft with the world, generating prospects for businesses to increase their profits with premium coffee, and building up anticipation for customers, until they take the first heavenly sip of our coffee. With just the right balance of sweetness and acidity, Chance Coffee is all about that full coffee experience.

As a certified Professional Roaster with the Specialty Coffee Association, we'll help you find the right roast for your customers and support you with brewing guidance to bring out the best flavors.

Chance Coffee is responsibly-sourced from India’s most notable estates, giving farmers chances to grow their exposure and economic stability. We are locally owned and operated and are proud to provide employment opportunities and skills training for women in Chandigarh.

The Story

If you can’t tell already, chance is in our DNA.

 

 We found our joy in travelling – that indescribable feeling when you embark on a journey to explore yet another portion of the world, yes that! Seeing the world has been a huge motivator. And what could be a better add to your travelling experience than stopping by a local café and enjoying a cup of coffee? 

​

In 2009 we landed in Hong Kong, the city known for its bustling streets and iconic skyscrapers. The three of us bonded over coffee, brewing endless cups of coffee was where we dreamt together of the future. But as fate would have it, we all went our separate ways.

​

However, through some order of divine alignment, we all met again, this time in India! After much catching up and reminiscing on our life dreams, we decided to start a business with coffee – a drink that brought us together and gave us a chance to revive our friendship.

Our Farms

We like to take chances. It's in our name, after all. But one thing we never take chances on is quality. That's why we partner with hardworking farmers dedicated to producing high-quality coffees. When you support Chance Coffee, you’re supporting farmers across India who then, in turn, invest in their farms, families, and communities. Harley Estate

Located in Sakleshpur, Karnataka, Harley is a former British plantation with a rich tradition of growing coffee for over 160 years. In that time, the 300-acre farm has played a critical role in perfecting the art and science of the perfect cup of coffee, thanks to its smooth Arabica and award-winning premium Robusta. Harley is also an agricultural center for areca nut, cardamom, cocoa, pepper, rice, and vanilla, offering a rich farming ecosystem in this idyllic Indian plantation.

Salawara

The Salawara Estate envelops 400 acres of stunning hillside in Chikmaglur. The Salawara Estate began in 1880 and is known for delicious Arabicas and Robustas that have won various awards in India and abroad. The farm’s washed Arabica is grown at 3130 feet and features the rich territory's distinct flavors resulting from exotic herbs and spices grown alongside its coffee.

Moganad Estate

Moganad Estate lies at the bottom of a lush valley in the northernmost region of the Shevaroys. Though nestled in a valley, its growing elevations range between 3600 and 4600 feet above sea level. The entire estate is interspersed with pepper, cloves, and nutmeg, which enhances its coffee's unique flavors and quality.

Moganad Estate is known for its mixed variety of Arabica, including S.9, S 5B, and Chandragiri coffee. In 2016, the farm won the distinction of the Best Robusta Coffee in India and was featured in the Global Coffee Report Magazine in their September 2016 issue.
